farewell to a sufi shaykh

Innah Lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajioon………………..Around about 20:00hrs GMT on the 15th January 2008, Saheb Qibla Fultali (Abdul Latif Choudhury) left this world @ his palace in sylhet……may allah forgive him for the division he created amongst ahlus sunnah - bangladesh. May allah give his mureeds the tawfiq to align with maslak-e-ala hazrat, now that there remains no obstacle blocking their path. Inshallah. Ameen Summa Ameen.

[Abd Al Mustafa] - do you mean me personally, or the shaykh who has passed away…???? I personally am not worthy of, or knowledgeable enough to judge the fatwa and say that it was wrong. so, i say that i accept Imam Ahmad Rida (RA)’s fatwa. However, the sufi shaykh fultali saheb did not accept it and started making excuses about the affair and thus got banned from GHAMKOL SHARIF, Birmingham over ten years ago.

[Abd Al Mustafa] - i think that says it all, we have other sunni schools in the indo-pak region who are seperate schools from the barelwis but when you look into their beliefs and practices they are no different, and the same with arab sunni schools. The followers of pir jamaat ali shah (ra) and pir mehr ali shah (ra) are no different to the barelwis in beliefs and practice, they may be silent on the deo/barelwi takfir affair but they certainly do not harbour any love for the deoz. In brum the minhajis, another group who are silent on the deo/barelwi takfir affair associate with the deoz if they have to but in practice and beliefs they are no different to barelwis and the minhajis i know certainly do not have any affection for the deoz.
i read a book authored by shah waliullah (ra) once where the shaykh categorized wahabies and where and how they could be spotted. the first categorization was that they come in the form of la madhabi and as madhabi, amongst the madhabis, they can be spotted as la qiyami and the shaykh also stated that there were another group of wahabies who presented themselves as mawlid practicers with qiyam.
when the tariqa muhammadiya followers are sometimes accused of being undercover wahabies, one of their defences is we do mawlid and qiyam, so how can we be wahabies.? lol!! shah waliullah’s statement shows that wahabies come in shades of mawlid practicing qiyamies aswell. so simply practicing mawlid and qiyam does not make one a proper sunni.

chishti, you are nothing but a closet wahabi. infact an actual wahabi who is using the tactics the jews used to create friction amongst muslims. likewise, you seem to be posing as a sunni but trying to create further friction amongst the sunnis.
I shall not take favour to any group in particular but will say this; your comments seem very deceptive.

Astakhfirullahhulazeem! it seems as though the munafiks are getting stronger now, attacking the ulema of ahle sunna, hypocrites! it also appears that you do not knw anything about him whether being his status his knowledge and teachings. the way this chat room appears seems to be run by a bunch of knowledgless kids diving into subjects they dont even know about! and he didnt get band from Ghamkol Sharif, he held a mawlid gathering there 10 years ago with the rest of the ulema and committee of Ghamkol Sharif, i would knw as i was present!! before you go carry on cursing a friend of allah you wud travel or ask sunni ulema from al-Azhar university or member of the blessed Syyed Alawi family in Mekkah or Tahir ul-Qadri from Pakistan..or any great sufi saint about his status and teachings before u carry on with these acts. but seeing how blind and blunt u kids are it seems pointless. GROW UP AND DO UR RESEARCH!!!!!!!

firstly, who’s attacking who..??? secondly, you’ve commented in such a way which makes me want to react by naming your peer by name and describing some of his misguided actions which caused huge damage to ahlus sunnah within the bangladeshi community.
thirdly, in this situation a munafiq is he who behaves like a sunni at one place and as a wahabi/deobandi etc etc in another place. cursing wahabies where there is a majority sunni population and then cursing sunnis where there is a majority wahabi population.
fourthly, when your peer held a mawlid 10yrs ago, that was the last time he or any of his devotees ever set foot inside to give a speech. off course he got banned!! indirectly. and soon after that he got banned (indirectly) from HIJAZ college.
fifthly, there are many arab shuyukh who have close relationships with deobandi/tablighi/wahabi alims from the sub-continent…….so what does that mean..??? nothing much really!! as for DR TAHIRUL QADRI he mixes with all sorts including shia. infact DR TAHIRUL QADRI mixes with more deviants than ahlus sunnah, in order to give them dawah of correct sunni doctrine and practices. DR TAHIRUL QADRI only ever sat with your peer once which was in sylhet. DR TQ only mixes with your lot in order to convert them to minhajis. full stop.
sixthly, what do arab shuyukh know about your peer anyway..??? they probably only met him once in their whole life, and fultali mureeds circulate videos and pictures, showing people that their peer has affiliation with arab sunnis etc etc……………and now your lot all started taking ijazas from DR TQ, and saying LOOK we have sanad from DR saheb, how can u call us wahabies..??? what a load of C**P!!!
Lastly, but not leastly………TRULY, YOUR LOVE FOR HIM HAS MADE YOU LOSE TOUCH WITH REALITY!! if your peer could, he would have claimed divinity! and if you lot could find a way, you would have made him divine!!! NAOOZUBILLAHI MIN ZALIK!!! don’t get me started, and believe me i will publish the x-file on your peer if you use such language again.
word of advice, find out what is required of a peer-e-kamil and see if your peer passes the test……????? you will be surprised!! WHEN ALLAH S.W.T becomes fond of or takes a likening to one of his creation (humans) he gives them knowledge of the deen………………………NOT MILLIONS AND MILLIONS OF TAKA, AND BEAUTIFUL PALACES.

Bro Abd al Mustafa, perhaps a show of some evidence may enlighten the hearts and minds of those who are confused. That YouTube clip might be a good start.
Just a thought. Since Fultali sahib have passed away, should we still be debating over him? Or is it the case that we need to show people what the real situation is/was?
PS: Heard Allama Abul Kashim Noori are coming to the UK, any truth in this? been busy lately, so can’t say anything right now but will keep you posted!
[Abd Al Mustafa] - as along as i/we do not attack the shaykh personally we should be OK! however, we should not stop speaking the truth or even we should not hide the truth out of respect for others.
Anyway, we are not debating him but rather the misguidance and fitna he spread. If it was the case that we should not mention him simply becoz he is now dead, then i don’t think there would be scholars writing about and discussing the errornous ways of the past deobandi shaykhs, the errornous ways of ibn taymiyyah, ibn abdul wahab najdi etc etc………….The HAQ needs to be heard………. “Let not respect for people prevent a person from speaking the truth when they know it.” (Tirmidhi)
