This is how the Haram is expected to look after it’s new extension. Subhanallah!

oh! no! not so soon, and not shamiyah! the closest place you can stay to the haram sharif. literally, yards away. when i was at hajj this year the hotel staff told us that they were under the hammer for demolition, but i didn’t think it would be so soon. i thought i would atleast be able to stay in the same hotel if i managed to make the trip again for hajj 1429………….and i was definitely hoping to stay at golden makkah hotel (which is literally right opposite the UMRAH gate, 20 metres apart) if i could make the time for umrah in april.

Easy now fella! Have you become a shareholder in NAJDI International Plc?
Ever wondered what they have destroyed to go along with this expansion?
[Abd Al Mustafa] - woh! woh woh! hold your horses fella!!! i’m only reporting what i’ve come across. anywayz, the haram needs expansion. i welcome the expansions but not the destruction of holy historic sites. This new expansion has not started yet, but will knock down hotels and other businesses shown in the clip above to accomodate the expansion ie. markets, shops, restaurants etc etc.

SubhanAllah - Pilgrims will have more space inside the Great Mosque. I have seen a large number of pilgrims praying outside the mosque on roads.
Saudi Government deserve a lot of encouragement for this noble cause. Almight Allah may help them.

AsSalam-o-alaikom All,
I just performed Omra a couple of days ago. The demolision is ongoing & I would say that 60% of the buildings do not exist.
Being a regular visitor to Makkah I would say it is just the right time. The last two years it was getting too crowded. The Northern & North Western areas were of narrow alleys and was easily clogged with dirty water.
I am a 100% for the expansion & making room for more visitors.
Thumbs up for the Saudi Government…may Allah guide & assist them with their noble endeavours.
Ayman Fahmy
[Abd Al Mustafa] - it would be better to just say, “thumbs up to the expansions”

AsSalam-o-alaikom
brothers & sisters in ISLAM
This new extension out side babul umrah was suppose to begin back in 1991 but due to world instability
the entire project was posponed till this day. Better late then never. Muslim ummah should feel proud
of SAUDI ruler’s and their entire denesty. Because it is they who have taken on board right from very
early stage to expand both mosques plus other relevent Mosques.far too many to name but mention few here.
Masjid-e-Queba. Masjid e Queblatain. Masjid-e-tamim. masjid-e-khunduk. masjid-e-Aisha.masjid-e- Keif and
masjid-e- Namerah and many more together with new roads new Air Terminaland. AT Mina new fire resistent
heatproof tent with aircondition and ZAM-ZAM available throughout, same at Jamarat extension after extension
for the confirt and peace and safety of worshippers who come here from every corner of the world.
Please Make dua for the whole of Ummah to understand each other and stand side by side with each other
Lucky are Those who will get involved in the extensions work and get the reward of both the worlds.
Such a nobel relegion.
Our whole hearted dua’s goes to Custodian of 2 Holy Mosques [hifajahullah]

Bismihi-ta-a-la
An excellent news of new extension which will help Hajjis to stand in peace/tranquality under one roof.
It was very much needed and will be very much appriciated by Hajjis.
Our dua’s with each and every one who is involved with this huge project.
Away from Mosque area I would like to point out an area of improvement. All the Highways from Jeddah Airport to Makkah/Madinah should have better service facilities at short intervals due to large volume of Hajjis traveling throughout the year. Better parking/wash/food/prayer place for both Ladies & gentleman. I sincerely hope some contractors or Saudi Goverment takes an innitiative in this much needed project.
in mean time dua’s from everyone.

Do you ignorant people know that due to the Saudi’s inconsiderate and to be frank, selfish attempts to expand the surrounding areas of the haram, there hasn’t been any pure Zam Zam for since 1996. Keep supporting the Saudis and soon we may not have any Zam Zam at all.
They have no proper plans in place to preserve the Holy sites that are connected with pilgrimage. There is not even a proper sewage system.
I for one feel sick at what these extremist Saudis’ are doing to the entire land of Al Hijaz. May we all come out of such ignorance (as shown in the above posts). Ameen.

I performed Umra in May 2008 and the demolition work was in progress. I wished the residences of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique(RUTA) and Hazrat Umar which were fenced during the demolition had been preserved. Also in front of Babe Fahad Hazrat Khadija residence were fenced . Had it been reserved will be morvellous.

I really highly appreciate the expansion of Haram Sharif but the birth place of Hazrat Muhammad (SUAW) also requires attention. It needs some repair and attractions because i think it has been either ignored or over sighted. Please, please give it more attention.Tehmas Khan from Peshawar.
